Love that G2 cover. So you've had some time to put a few miles on the Spartan - how do you like it? Any binding issues in turns?

I love the spartan, i was going to get the aussie but couldnt find one in time before thanksgiving weekend so i went with the spartan. I like my spartan more than the aussie, two of my buddies have the aussie one in a tj and one in a jk. I installed my spartan and my buddy's aussie in the tj. To me the spartan was eaiser to install and i liked how you dont reuse the thrust washers. in 2wd it makes a very faint tick tick noise at almost full lock, normal corners and regular driving you cant tell or hear anything that resembles a auto locker. In 4wd in the dirt it clicks but thats because its ratcheting and doing its job. It did exceptional this past weekend, night and day difference.
I would deff reccomend one, both are good lockers i just like the spartan[prob because thats the one i have].

Alright - thanks for the info. Eventually I wanna lock the D30 but I will probably hold out until I regear to 4.56s. I'd really like a selectable up front but the Spartans and Aussies are so much cheaper and more a d.i.y. deal than the selectables. I'd say if I lock the front to go along with the Aussie I put out back my XJ would be damn near unstoppable.

Those pics look like ya had a good time puttin the Spartan to the test.

See that was my plan also, but i wanted to lock the front bad. Lol so when i regear the front will most likely get an ox or arb, along with the rear.

Nice. Your suspension looks like it works well, but you need some bumpstops!

On the front of the front fender the piece that is folded in factory that the plastic bumperetts bolt to is what you hear rubbing, idk why i sounded so bad. Its prob about a 1-2" piece. lmao
Ive thought about getting an acos for the front and a shackle relocation out back with a .5" shackle so i can bumpstop out there and ditch the sway that acts as my bump now. lol

When i started i wanted to do the front suspension first then the rear, i still need steering but skid are next on the list.

I like the vids! I need to start getting my brother to video some stuff and not just photos. The pics just don't do as much justice as the vids. And neither do as much justice as actuallt being there.

I'm in the same boat with needing to upgrade my steering. But I also want rockrails, a winch, front locker, taller gears, a trailer..........................yada yada

I hear ya there dude, im trying to talk my ma in to getting iro steering for me for christmas lmao
I want to address the rear bad though so idk if steering or leaf sliders will come first?

My buddy ordered a rustys tcase skid for me for christmas so that will finish up the year for the jeep. We both bought each others jeeps gifts, he got rustys radiator guard.

I was thinking about getting an engine/tranny skid but idk if i need it.

Installed the skid sat night, took prob 30min. Super beefy! The only thing im not a fan of is that the skid was made for a tcase drop but o well.
Gonna run three beads around the outside where it mounts to the frame, not that its not sturdy enough now just for my comfort.
