wax job. installed rustys flex flares.

gave the ol' jeep a waxing yesterday. has a decent shine.

also installed my rustys flares. i didnt want them to look glossy so i gave them a scratching with some 320 grit sand paper, i might go over them again.

I really hate rusty's, but I must say their flares look really good. Jeep looks sharp! What backspace are your wheels?

i have never ordered anything from rustys before. i just needed some flares and didnt want bushwackers because removing the doors will be next and it would look silly since part of the bushwackers connects to the door.

4inch backspacing.

upcoming projects:
-doorless
-winch
-finish installing rigidco rear bumper and tc
-roofrack w/ lights

Do you have any pics of the rear flare, just curious how it mates up towards the door. Looks good BTW

the rustys flare is connected to the body much like the stock flares, not the door. the bushwackers rear flare is two peice, one of which connects to the door. i dont have a picture of just the rear right now.

Accoriding to their website. "Rusty's flares give you the abililty to trim from 2.5"-4" of sheet metal to clear larger tires!"
So they should work with trimmed fenders. I am trimmed and hope to get a pair one day.

You know Jesus wasn't married. No wife lets you come home after three days with the excuse "I was dead".

my fenders are very much trimmed. i have pro comp 3 inch lift, my tires are 31x1050s. the fender does a good job of hanging down over the open space, kinda gives it a stock look, but the space underneath is wide open.

The flares look like **** scratched up IMO. You should sand them down with some finer grit and shoot them with satin black or something. Otherwise the install looks good, and so does the jeep.

How are they mounted? Double-sided tape?

If possible could you post a couple of close up pics of the front and back. I have been looking into some fender flares to cover up the cut fenders on mine. It makes it look cleaner. Nice jeep BTW.

front

rear

on the rear i should have positioned it more flush with the door line, it looks to be a bit too far to the rear. its hard to get it perfect when you are doing it yourself and looking at it from such a close angle, i recommend having a second set of eyes.

Flares look good. I agree with them looking like doodie scratched up, but I wouldn't Raptor them. I just don't like the textured look on the flares. I would hit them up with a satin black like suggested above.
