Want to sell my 2000 XJ sport, need help pricing it out

2000 Cherokee SPort

120K bone stock, never been wheeled.

The good, well maintained newer radiator, water pump, coolant, hoses, plugs, coil rail ac works great.

The bad

Mainly needs a heater core.. have hoses looped together right now. Other minor annoyances that happen to all of them (front door speakers dont work, passenger window only works from driver side, occasionally gets the heat soak misfire, but clears up upon restart) driver side seat has some tears along the vynil part along the bottom.

Black paint, all one color, paint in average condition, will shine up with a good waxing.

Engine and trans runs strong shifts good, no problems there.

Anyone in the Philly/South Jersey area looking for a project?

I just dont feel like getting into it for a heater core... Was looking to get 2k/2500 or there abouts.

I'm just trying to be straightforward/honest and not stick it to someone.

4 door... I can put some pics up after work.

4.0 AW4. Has the 0331 head, but it runs on the cool side for one of these things... a hair below 210 on the guage.

If I was coming to look at it, I'd be thinking maybe $1,200. I'd put it up at $2,000 and see if it moves first. You can always come down.

My build thread has pics again. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f177/kevin108s-2000-xj-build-867428/

In this area and with that mileage it would go for around $3000.

$3k-3500 around here, $4500-6k at a dealer. That's going site unseen with info you provided though.

Thats about 2-2.5k here. Cherokees are a dime a dozen, and with the issues you stated, it kills the value.

Look at other compairables in your area. Start at the high end of what you want for it, you know someone will try to talk you down. give it a month to see if it moves, if not bring it down a few hundred. If you post a new ad, take down the old one so the buyer doesnt get the idea your willing to come down alot more. list the good points about it. "4wd works great, almost new tires, new brakes, etc". polish it up and wax it for pictures, fixing the speakers shouldnt be too hard and pretty cheap.

Ive sold a few motorcycles on craigslist. Bought them cheap. Usually either not running or not street worthy, fixed them up, rode them a bit and sold the. Sometime I profit some times a broke even.

Around here with 120k you could ask 3 to 3.5 and get 2.8 to 3.2k. Thats for sight unseen, if it looks how I am picturing it.

that heater core is 1200 to have a regular shop replace (almost all labor) removing the dash is listed as 9 hours and in NJ you cant go without heat so you will loose a bit on that maybe 2k

It's definitely an extensive job. You have to literally remove the entire dash just to get to it. Tried backflushing it?

I'd jump on $800 if I was keeping it.

Otherwise, as is $2500-3500 private, $4500-5000 dealer.
