Year: 1999
Model: XJ Sport
Drive Train: NP231 with tcase drop, HP D30 and 29 spline 8.25

Other Notable Modifications: "Baby flares" up front made from rubber pipe insulation. Angle cut front bumper with two HF 100 watt lights mounted in the center
Favorite Modification: My RC X-series stuff. Ran RC products for a long time with great results, and this setup is no different.

Favorite Trail: Three Step at The Wishbone Ranch in Bowling Green, KY
Best Trail Damage: Dents in drivers doors, tree got a little too close.
Build Thread: Click Click

And how it all started:

Like I said, Im not really at the level I wanted to be to enter, but I mainly feel like putting it in just because of how far its come. It was owned by a moronic high school kid and was doomed to be hauled off as scrap in time. Ive been nurturing it into the shape of a good daily/weekend warrior, but still soooo much to do.

Now, lets get some other people in here posting up.

*** I have now owned my Jeep for 11 months, and after buying it bone stock, I feel like it has come a long way and has really proven itself already! I may only be on 29's and open diffs, but this XJ has been A LOT of places. I take pride in creating clean and tasteful looks to it, and making it very functional. It still has a ways to go, and I have a lot of future plans, but for only owning it for 11 months, I am proud of how far it's come. ***

Bought it in 09 with 200K on the motor. Took good care of it. Did all the interior/electrical mods first (LED lighting, cup holder, gauges, audio system, CB, etc..). Then i lifted it 2" so i could fit my 31s, once i could afford it i went to 4". In the process of installing an SYE. Picked up welding as a hobby and made my own sliders, reinforced a stock TC crossmember, roof rails, and a rear bumper/swing out.

Dream big! When I had 245 on my last jeep I did pretty good. Mud ruts were only real limiting factor.

I would have totally done the same.

Im blown away that I have so many votes. Ive got so much more to do. Been a long road so far and Im nowhere near done.

And love the Jeep, Durt. Always loved the rig, a lot of the breakages and other problems that arise with larger lifts and bigger tires arent even a factor for you, and for that I am jealous.

Don't worry, it still gets beat up except for the axles. I bump it up everything.

Love your jeep too, 4.5" on 33x10.5 is a great look. Lots of great rigs this month.
