Suspension: 4.5" RE/RC hybrid lift (RE coils, RC LCA's, 11"/10" travel f/r shocks, AAL and OE Ford Ranger shackles (1" lift, boomerang), redrilled trackbar te center axle, no swaybars 90% of the time

Wheels/Tires: 32x11.5 Hankook Dynapro MT's on 15x8 Cragar D Windows w/ 4" backspacing

Other Notable Modifications: Dirtbound Offroad Mojave front bumper, IRO HD tie rod, Autopal H4 Housings, Hella 80/100w bulbs, Putco harness, Pioneer headunit

Favorite Modification: The Dirtbound bumper has really gotten a lot of compliments, as well as saved my header panel on numerous occasions. The H4 upgrade was also a massive improvement.

Least Favorite Modification: 3" budget boost I started with. I had plans to make it super clean "bigger stock" looking but shoulda just said to hell with that and went straight to this. That and my AAL is more of a mid-length one so I will be swapping that out.

Best Trail Damage: my diff covers have taken a huge beating, about time to upgrade that before the rocks win.

Build Thread: VegasGT's "TastefullyCheap" Build - '99 XJ

Optional: Picked the Jeep up off an old man who kept it well maintained and after some time and putting my purse down I began to tear into it. It has turned into a nice weekend warrior. My wife and I load up for a weekend of wheeling, drive the 45 mile trip down, wheel and camp out of it the whole weekend and drive it back home. It will never be done but Ive been very happy with the setup so far.

Suspension: 3" RC coils, 3" AAL in stock pack, HD Engineering shackle relocations, 2" shackles, Clayton track bar w/ double shear bracket, IRO OTK steering, Rock Krawler 3 link, 10" Bilstein 5100's front, 12" 5100's rear via hoops, bumpstops at every corner

Wheels/Tires: 35x12.50x15 Pro Comp M/T's wrapped around 15x8 black steel w/ 3.75 BS

Other Notable Modifications: Rusty's steering box brace, ORS stubby bumper, Currie LCA mini skids, JCR gas tank skid, completely flat cross member w/ trans pan and transfer case skid built in (built by me),HD Engineering frame stiffeners, exhaust tucked up tight against the floor, 2x6 steel rockers (built by me)

Favorite Modification: All of them, they all work together nicely...

Least Favorite Modification: 3:55 gears

Best Trail Damage: Dents throughout passenger side body panels where I have pivoted off a big rock through a certain section in Crozet, VA

Build Thread: ibjeepin95's 99' XJ Build

Optional: From the beginning I wanted to build an XJ that could be driven to a trail or park, beat on hard, and then driven back home. I have put a pile of time and money wrenching and fabbing up stuff to get it where it is, and I can say I am almost happy with it. It has treated me well and I can say I have beat the snot out of it and it never misses a beat!

Other Notable Modifications: Home brew bumpers, Rear cut and Fold Quarter Guards, HD Crossmember w. built in Tcase and Catalytic Skid

Favorite Modification: Quarter Guards w. removable mud flaps - better than landing on your tail lights

Least Favorite Modification: OEM hitch w. Dring Mounts - I give myself a prostate exam every trail run.

Best Trail Damage: Pulled my entire exhaust back 6" on Lavant Lookout trail - replaced everything from manifold to tailpipe

Build Thread: Scampy the XJ - Wagon Wheelin'

Favorite Modification: everything I've done

Least Favorite Modification: none of them

Best Trail Damage: the usual pinstriping and "lovetaps" here and there

Build Thread: My Other Build Thread

Optional: The XJ is the project/toy Jeep of our fleet and was bought for the purpose of "saving" the WK from trail damage. I find myself wanting to drive it more and more.

Thanks bud I appreciate that. I'll reciprocate. Gotta hand it to the entry that figured out how to get 4 images of his XJ with 3 pics ;)

I do like the Red/Black combo plus wonder how mine would perform w/ a locked D30 open C8.25.

BTW - great bunch of XJ's to be competing against!

Haha Im pretty schneaky. :D

I went with front locker first because my ebrake is strong enough to use for a brief locker effect to get me going but that open 30 killed me trying to get up certain rock faces. Ill be testing out the locked front at WBR this weekend.

Yeah - I've been in spots where I thought, "a locked front would pull me over this easier than the rear is pushing me."

My Aussie went in the back as a no brainer. PO had welded the spider gears and the welds had cracked. Carrier was still solid - so in went the lunchbox.
