I gotta say, if you don't have $9 for an fsm, a cherokee may not be the vehicle for you.

Where are you finding an FSM for $9 at, I've been looking for one for my 96. Not talking a Haynes or Chilton.

From my understanding they are not FSM's and quite hit or miss. Just one of many I ran across, your story could be different.

I bought the one for my 99 and it's there and complete. I got the recommendations from a lot of the users here. So I know at least the 99 is good.

'96 was a change-over year, the manual for that year is probably incomplete cuz they were built by a mis match of new and old. It was an attempt to test some of the new ideas they had developed for the 97+ models.

Nothing like breaking the forum rules all in one post..

Next time, you should just check out online resources like Morris 4x4, who has all the FSM's for a ton of Jeeps online for people to browse for free.
