Good news is my popping noise turned out to be a non-issue. Was my swaybar endlinks, they are too short, bent, wore out and junk in general. I just picked my man card back up and took the damn things off again.

It's a trail rig now - you don't need a sway bar. ;-)

Haha I never really ran it hooked up much anyway. Never know when a random parking lot flex photo opportunity may present itself lol

Took it out this weekend to clear out some brush and camp over a bonfire/hotdogs/smores. Had a good time and added some scratches. Drank wayyyy too much.

Were you ever on 31's? I ask cuz I'm wanting to know if you saw any significant power loss when you went to 32's.

Yep, started on 31s. No real difference in power that I could tell. Weight is a factor though, as my 31s were already a heavy MT, it really wasnt much difference. Going from a light 31 AT to a heavy 32" MT may yield different results.

Goodyear Duratracs are very light, I ordered some for a buddys TJ to replace his ProComp MT's (both 33s) and he's seen an increase in power and mpg just by switching to a different tire in the same size, so weight plays a big factor.

I saw the 32" MTR's that "It's time" has. 31" BFG AT's to those I'm sure there's a difference. Thanx though. I'll be checking weight on those.

Yea, honestly the only difference in power I ever noticed from going up in tire size was when I went from 235's to 31" MT's. For me, 31's to 32's was practically no different. I cant find it now but but I had a side by side pic of my 31s (95% tread on the one i compared) next to the new 32's and the 32's were quite a bit larger/wider. Even my 33x10.5 KM2s on my last XJ felt no worse than 31s (MT keep in mind) in my opinion. You wont be roasting tires at stop lights but I dont ever feel like my Jeep has an trouble maintaining highway speeds. The 4.0 h.o. and 3.55s do the job just fine in that tire range.

Anyhoo, since I like photos, heres a shot of the Jeep at the office today among the normal peoples autos.

Left the keys in it this afternoon so one of the techs could get out, when I told him the keys were in it if he needed to move it he asked if there was anything he should need to know before he tried to drive it haha. I said "No, pretty normal really, just ignore any random noises." lol
