Went ahead and did my grille. Turned out just how I wanted, might become addicted to this stuff for oddball things around the house, pretty neat product.

looks alot better IMHO. Try doing the bottom of the doors to the first body line. Iv always liked the way that looks almost 2 tone

If it peels so easily, perhaps the rockers may not be a good idea.

I'd more likely take a razor blade to a black garbage sack, and a roll of cheap masking tape. Step back to see if you like it. Cheaper, less effort, and easier removal.

Thanks man, been something Ive wanted to do for a while. Ive considered doing the 2 tone like you are talking about. I did that on my last 99 out of necessity (paint imperfections), but I never got around to it here cause the paint is in good shape.

Next step is at the rear. Cut n fold rear quarters and starting on rear bumper build. Getting tired of the quarters hanging down, almost smashed them last time out.

Looking good Vegas! I'd recommend doing a wrap around bumper when you cut and fold the quarters, I need to do this myself...

Thanks man! Wrap around is the plan picking up steel in a bit actually. Building it out of 2x4, and mounting inside frame to hitch mounts. Basically will angle cut/cap the ends of the bumper, then use 2x4 on the side wraparounds (turned sideways for more clearance).

Should be similar to this but I plan to fill gaps under taillights and probably do a 45 degree angle at the ends instead of having a sharp 90, if thar makes sense. Idk if Ill have all this done by my trip this weekend but if nothing else I need to fold the quarters. It was a miracle I didnt crush them last trip out.

Should be simple enough to make. I plan to add a 2" receiver in there also, but for now im mainly just building it for side protection, clearance, and to tidy it up a bit back there. Stock bumper looks tacky as hell from the side.

Thank you very much for the kind words!

The new paint on the jeep looks great by the way.
And I cant wait to see how that rear bumper turns out!

Thanks man!

And I went ahead and pulled the stock bumper off and cut n folded the pass quarter. Still need to seal it up but I stopped for a beer break.

I pretty much winged it honestly. It turned out really well except for the front part closest to the wheel. I cut more off the outerpanel side than intended. Luckily I left enough material to overlap under and cover gaps, just not as pretty. Went surprisingly smooth otherwise. I just gotta tackle the driver side now, then that will pave the way to get to work on the bumper.
