Thanks! Im pretty proud of the outcome. I hope to have built it well enough so as to trick non-Jeepers into believe it could have been factory, while still reaping the benefits of side/taillight protection and more clearance.

Still need to add my flushmount 2" receiver and additional tie-ins, but otherwise its all done. Moved the Jeep for the first time in over a week to stand back and look it all over. Loving it.

You're gonna cause a lot of people to be disappointed when they find out they can't buy that bumper from somewhere

Me wants that rear bumper. Just what I'd like for my blue Jeep. Add a couple d-rings each corner for recovery and it'd be EXACTLY what I want.

Very nice looking job - clean and beefy at the same time.

Haha thanks guys! For my first ever bumper build Im real happy with the outcome. Just got to finish tie-in and recovery and Ill be set. In true Jeep life fashion though, one improvement has lead me to realize other things needing improved. With all the clearance I picked up back there I realized just how vulnerable the tank is, I need to get that addressed ASAP.

August is a busy month for wheeling this year too. WBR is holding two 3 day events, I will be attending both although will probably just be there for the Saturday and Sunday. First event is next weekend, sooner than usual so Im a little caught off guard but Jeep is as ready to go as usual. I was just hoping to have the front doors pinned in time but Im not gonna rush it. Im not even sure I wanna do that mod yet but Im tired of my left armpit taking a beating haha.

Took a quick shot from the rear of the Jeep.

I was so cautious in my measurements when I built the bumper, that now that its all together it made me realize my hatch is actually a hair over to the right lol.

Hahaha. Isn't that the truth.

Great job on the bumper Brandon. If you ever quit your day job I'm sure you could make a good living building sweet XJ's. Keep up the good work.

Whether it be Jeeps or women, the answer is YES. It all looks better from behind.

Dang man youre makin me blush haha. Thanks for the compliment, means a lot!

When I get my garage built and I get some more equipment to do the job a little faster I had considered building a couple bumpers for the locals here by request. I dont have much money in mine and I enjoy the work so I could probably do a couple here and there for a quick buck.

Id probably make more off the Wrangler crowd though. Sad to say but for the most part my XJ is a bit of an exception in my neck of the woods, and very few care much about overall fit and finish. Most of the XJ's here are either cheap beater trailer queens, or street driven only. Im one of the only ones at my local offroad park that drives mine there, camps out of it and drives home (usually with cruise set at 75 haha). The first trip down after my locker install I caught a guy mutter "no one can drive a rig down here and do any of the hard trails n expect to make it home." I made a point to follow him all day, havent heard that little comment sense.

Im amped up for this weekend, if everyone goes to WBR that says they are going, it oughta be a good turnout!
