Yea, the shackles are pretty beefy. Just make sure you get the ones for a 88-98 full size Chevy. There is another type Autozone carries for certain Fords and they are too wide.

Decided to ditch the hoodmount lights and mount them on the bumper via eye bolts. I wanna do smaller diameter A Pillar lights later on though.

Eye bolts are a good way to get fatter lights to fit on the stock bumper. I still need to trim the extra light mounting stud but heres a couple pics.

You're kind of my inspiration there haha. Liked the look of the small lights up there and I could definately used something to light up the sides a bit better.

You fab your brackets or get Detours?

I just cut a slit in the flat steel and welded it back up. That way the bend is sharp not rolled as if i were to bend it.

Yea, didnt look too tough. I need to come up with a switch panel if I keep adding stuff. Like to add aux fan overide, backup aux lights, and the a pillar lights. Thats 4 switches there. Where do people get these fancy switches that are labeled and have symbols? Lol

Ive seen some online at 4wd places. Im gonna build one where the cig lighters are one day. I want two rows of four toggles. Same spot as now but diff switches. Those switches will be moved down by the shifter with two rows of two.
