Also got some use out it this weekend, loaded up and went to a buddy's to help pile up a ton of wood to have a bonfire over drinks, hotdogs, and cornhole. Hauled a lil wood and used it as a seat, cupholder mostly. Forgive the crappy cellphone pic, it was dark.

Cleaned it up today for the first time in a couple months, figured Id snap a few pics. Id forgotten how good the paint/body still are.

Also took my daughter out to a playground by the lake and took a couple pics of the Jeep while I was there. Didnt have the wifes DSLR with me, so youll have to deal with iPhone 4 pics over instagram filters haha.

I bought a Taurus 709 Slim today to retire my fat P95 from carry duty. Good choice with the Ruger!

I had eyeballed that 709S at one point, I have a couple Taurus revolvers Im in love with. I carried a PT111 9mm for a little bit before I sold it. Never had any probs with it though.

I got the LCP to replace my LC9. My LC9 was a great carry gun but I found I still wasnt carrying it all that much due to its height (couldnt pocket carry). Figured the LCP would be fitting, and it has been. Ive carried it in my pocket every single day Ive owned it.

Guns and Jeeps go so well together but they are TERRIBLE if you are on a budget lol. My LCP's LaserMax setup is pretty pricey, got some Pearce 3/4" extended baseplates coming, and extra mag to carry. All that adds up and thats just ONE little pocket gun, not counting ammo or other guns. I carry Hornady Critical Defense, and that works out to $1.10 everytime I pull the trigger. Thats about what it costs me to shoot .45acp! I cant even plink around with .22's anymore cause the shelves empty as quick as they get stocked. I havent seem a bulk box of .22lr on the shelves around here for months.

Oops typed a book, oh well my thread.

Saw one 550 brick of .22 Federal in my store today. Price was $43

I passed it up in favor of two boxes of 9mm for the same price. Ridiculous.

Yeah luckily I have a small stockpile to get me through until prices drop again, which they inevitably will.

Following this thread with interest, as I just picked up a 99 limited. My first jeep, unless you count my m38. Started wanting creature comforts, I guess.

Got a little lucky; told my wife last year that all I wanted for Christmas was 22 ammo. I reload, so have all the 9 and 45 I'll ever need.

Good choice with the XJ purchase, and thanks for the interest in the build.

Jeep is looking good!
I just noticed you are from Kentucky, and I realized that is where my XJ came from, right before I bought it in January last year!

Very nice build! I have a stock red '00 I plan on building pretty much identical to this. Seems like a good compromise for a daily driver. How much did the 31s affect gas mileage?
