@Luke95,
I plan to eventually go with relocation brackets, but want to pick up a little longer shackle first and go from there. Once it warms up Ill be getting to work on the fun part of the build. Straying away from bolt-ons and building everything. Cant wait to get started.
Here's a shackle for ya, I love 'em. JKS dogleg shackles, they are 2" longer so they provide 1" of lift. But cuz of the shape, they don't hang down far in the back

Yea Ive been eyeballing those. Kinda put the shackle thing on the backburner for now, its not really all that low in the back, more of an illusion created by the front flares being mounted higher than the rears.

Ive had a bit of a hard-on for Napier PP flares here lately. May eventually do a bit of a go-between on my two possible build plans, picking up those flares and run 33s at current height.

That will have to wait a bit, In going to get some oddball maintenance needs caught up first. Got a roaring hub bearing thats in need of replacement, among other smaller things.

On the flare issue, this is the stance when you get the front and rear clearance to match without trimming.

I really don't favor this look, but the problem is only .5" and it'd be perfect. I figure it'll sag to perfect eventually

Yea, I think I know whats going to happen. Ill more than likely run a shackle and duplicate the stance from my last 99.

33x10.5 with trimmed front (wrapped in rubber pipe insulation) and OE rear flares. No rubbing. I just want to take extra care in doing all that because my current '99 is in significantly better shape than my last was.

So since the original build plans kinda went out the window, are you planning any gearing, axle, or tc mods?

For now I think Ill let nature run its course. Go up in tire size, wheel til it breaks, upgrade, etc. I will be picking up an SYE and double cardan shaft at some point this summer though, regardless of other mods.

Im running behind on the build at the moment. Between house payment and frivelous purchases elsewhere Im a little tapped out on the fun spending for a little bit. That and its going to be nice for the first time in 3 weeks, so Ill probably opt to not spend the weekend under the Jeep on anything major.

Plan to spend the weekend over good drinks and ESPN, hopefully watching Duke beat the **** out of UNC Saturday if anybody watches college ball.

Nothing major but I put my wore down 31" spare in the back. Flipped the OE threaded rod up so it was a couple inches higher and ran it through the hole. It wouldnt fit on the original pedestal due to the soundbar, so I had to put it beside it. Backseat still latches though!

Nothing else really new. Ran new wires to rear speakers, and adjusted draglink to center the wheel. Need to pick up ZJ tierod. My OE rod refuses to budge for adjustment. Also put my OE amber parking lights back in, will likely sell the clears or tint them and reinstall. I missed the factory look of the amber lights.
