Just getting started. DO NOT lift a vehicle like this on a hill. Bad things happen.

Here is the lift block that I made after the fall. It weighs about as much as the Jeep.

Right after being done for tonight. I still have to patch the gas tank, set the track, bleed the brakes, adjust the arms, and then take it to get an alignment. My buddy saved the day for real. It was so god damned windy and cold it was awful. If anyone reading this ever wants to do a lift alone the first time, don't. It is worth paying someone to be there with you even if all they do is hold a couple wrenches and to have someone to talk to and provide moral support.

That looks awesome! And I second that bit about moral support haha. I feel like I end up doing most of the work on a lift anyway but it's nice to have company.

Can't flex I still have to get the old lca mounts off. I ran out of cutoff disks for the grinder haha. In other news.... a v8 zj driveshaft will not fit with the SYE which is news to me. I got the longest driveshaft from a jeep period and it is like 3 inches too short. Going back to the jy tomorrow to find one from a bronco or jimmy or some ****... in other news, anyone want to buy 2 cv driveshafts?

Sent from under my Jeep.

I have a 98' as well, is the driveshaft only usable with an sye? I have 3in of lift but doubt Il go over so I may not need an sye. Still curious though.

an SYE isn't a bad idea even if you don't have lift. It's just built more rugged... The thing is, if I had bought one from tom woods, they would have sent me a shorter one than I bought, so how this happens I have no clue.

Basically lost all motivation to do anything. Haven't even looked at the jeep in a week or two. I ordered a driveshaft and am researching steering though.

Sent from under my Jeep.

I lost my motivation with my wrangler and sold it for my cherokee. Luckily my motivation is still going strong with this one. Just wait, the urge to wheel or atleast tinker on it will grow and you will soon have fun with your Jeep again.
