I tried to search on hear and on Google but I came up empty handed..... Anyone have a pic or ever used a roof mounted spare AND a rear bumper spare holder at the same time. More curious than anything to see it but also interested for a trip I may be taking. TIA.
Sorry professor! I will remember to spell check my forum posts so you don't have to be a ****** bag and correct my honest mistakes next time. I also wasn't asking if it was possible..... why wouldn't it be? I was asking to see it and maybe for some input on how bad the weight was on the rear. But thanks for trying.
I've seen some guy in my town do that. His XJ is stock (an '87 I think), and has the factory tire carrier mounted on the rear, which I havent seen too often. He also has a rack on the roof with a spare tire on it. Granted, both of these are stock tires/wheels...maybe hes afraid of getting a flat?? It doesnt look like he wheels it at all. :dunno: Next time I see it parked somewhere i'll see if I can take a pic of it or ask him about it!
I am going to run one on a swing-out rear carry and one on the roof rack, Call me paranoid if you want but i have seen how easy it is to de-bead a tire with low pressure.
ive seen some ARB back bumpers with 2 tire carriers. i know they make them for land cruisers, i'm almost positive they dont for XJs. ive seen this on alot of expedition and safari 4x4s
