Two interesting finds today...

I test drove a 96 5spd 4cyl. 4x4 XJ and it was a two door. I think its the first time I've ever seen one in that configuration. She drove nice.

And I saw a US mail JK. RHD and everything.

Discuss.

It ran really smooth, and combined with the 5 speed it was reasonably quick.

Another thing I found odd was it had a tachometer. I've never seen a standard jeep with a tach before

Yeah that is odd. I've seen standard jeeps with a tachometer but they were all sport models. I've even seen an XJ country with a 5 spd. I've never seen a 4 cylinder with a tachometer though. Maybe they swapped in the gauge cluster oh and I forgot, today I saw a black XJ country 2-door. Never seen a 2-door country before. It was either a '93 or '94. Didnt have an airbag but it was parked in a lot and I didnt get to see if it had a rear 3rd brake light. Pretty sweet looking though.

when i was searching for my XJ about half had the tach, my guess is it was a option. and people who buy sticks want more info so they paid a little extra.
