It was one of the boots on the spark plugs not being seated.

Drove it 40 miles tonight. Oh my god I missed it.

Ahhh. Was on break at work and was going to go to the gas station to get cigarettes and the starter wire pulled away from the battery. Going to fix it on my lunch break.

Other than that she's running beautifully, now I should just come up with a name for her. New guts, new personality, y'know?

Thanks man! Yeah it's been a long year or so since I bought the thing.

I'm seriously considering making a new build thread and re-organizing it.

Slight ticking noise from near the rear of the engine now at idle. Given that I only hear it at idle, I think it's a minor exhaust leak.

Seriously doubt it's those, I know the rear-most exhaust stud is missing, hence my assumption that it's an exhaust leak.

Can't tell if your being a smart *** or not but you would be surprised. I have seen it pretty often cause the symptoms your referring to and it's a simple fix. Can't hurt to check them out...probably needs to be done anyway.

You realize that I just put this engine in right? Let alone the fact that I've re-checked every bolt on the entire driveline 3 times since installing it. Why would I assume it's the flex plate (and have to disassemble the entire engine-tranny connection) when I know that there is no bolt in the number 11 slot on the intake/exhaust manifolds?

Ahh you are just a smart ***, you don't have to disassemble anything but the access panel on the bell housing...easy as pie. You just said you doubt it would be leading me to believe you have not checked them. Just trying to be helpful here.

You mean the flexplate to torque converter bolts?
