You'd be surprised. I wheeled my TJ on 35s with a Dana 35 in big dry rocks and never broke a shaft. Be smart about it and they can hold together a couple minutes...

This seriously.

I beat the piss out of my old ZJ on 31s w/ a D35 and DD (wheeled it like 3-4 nights a week) my tranny gave out and my axle never did.

Just so happened to come along this build thread from the main page. Really digging the Monstaline'd exterior man. Nice color. I've had a thought of doing either line-x or monstaliner on the fenders and bottom half of my WJ once I finish up cutting the fenders.

Any word on the monstaliner durabuility versus trees/branches/rocks/gravel/etc?

Oh my, the man himself. I've read your WJ build thread a here and there and love that thing.

It holds up awesome, I was even able to take a screwdriver to it and push a little and try to drag it down the side to scratch it and it didn't do a single thing (This was after it was fully cured).

Really appreciate that man. If only I could get the money flowing again I could possibly finish it at some point.

Thanks for letting me know how the Monstaliner holds up on the exterior. I helped a buddy do his YJ tub with Monstaliner and it seemed pretty tough, but foot traffic and stuff on the trails are two different things.

Its looking good though man. Keep it up. Throw a locker in that thing already!

Trying to get the exterior armored and done before I start getting into axles since it's still my DD. Plus there's no places around Pittsburgh that I'd even need a locker for.

Buy a bender, build a stop sign frame, you'll be well experienced. Doing it yourself saves arguing over the design
