Things to paint

What are some nice parts to paint black on a silver 2000 XJ? I painted the trim around headlights and I am going to, hopefully, get around to painting the grill black tomorrow (right now it looks like a raccoon.) I want to paint the rims (steel), the ting under the windshield wipers, the bumper (the greyish black plastic part) and the door trim. Any other things that would look cool blacked out on a silver jeep? I wanted to get murdered lights, but its illegal : (

Would a wire brush drill bit be the best way to clean the "paint" and rust off the stock rims? Eventually i'll get the tires taken off so I can get all the rust off, but for know ill wait.

What I'm doing is buying a few cans of bed liner and doing from the rockers up to where the crease is right below the door handles.

Had some rust on my gas tank filler door. Sand blast, and painted black. I love it.

I drove around for a few weeks with black bezels and white grill. I referred to it as having Irish Sunglasses.

Just paint the whole thing black. that way after you roll it, it will be easy to touch up!

My addiction is aluminum diamond plate plate, It looks cool & it tends to not look like a repair (a bad paint over). And forever more it will look good cuz aluminum won't rust.

Whenever I see diamond plate, I automatically think there is rust behind it. That was always the case when my friends bought wranglers and CJs when we were teenagers and they didn't really know any better.

Bedliner is the new diamond plate, quite possibly one of those things we will look back on and laugh at one day. But unlike diamond plate, I find bedliner enjoyable. Ill leave the rest to future hindsight.

'80's, lol, been told that alot. I know I've seen some CJ's that prove what your saying. But I sure prefer the dp rockers over the plastic crap that's wrapped around the rockers of all these new rigs.

That plastic crap pulls off like it does on XJs.

I have black grille and headlight buckets on my 2000 XJ (green). For some reason, the black grille and buckets really remind me of one of these: ... yes it's a toy but looks just like the real deal.
