Did some light wheeling, and finally decided where I want to go with my suspension. I'm gonna get some 3" BDS coils, new LCAs and UCAs, and have the rear leaves redone by my father's friend. He builds leaves, so he'll make me leaves to level out the front while having a shackle relocation bracket and a longer shackle. Gonna throw in some longer travel Bilsteins and put on 33s (with trimming and bumpstopping); it should be quite good.

You should go with 4.5". I run the RC 4.5". Its def not the greatest but for my $600 Rig it gets the job done. If you plan on spending the money for brand new 33s you should just bump up to 35s. In the end you will prob want to put 35s on it anyaway. With some trimming and bumpstops 35s fit just fine. I have pics if needed. However when you go 35s you'll prob need to put a dif rear axle, gears in it, change the steering. Good luck with the build.

I was looking at doing 35s. Oddly enough, a 35x12.5 KM2 is cheaper than a 33x12.5 KM2. I still haven't bought anything or gathered money, so I may consider that. I definitely want lower CoG though, so I'll probably be getting the RE3.5 kit, seeing as it's almost a 4.5" kit anyway.

Yea low COG is definitely the way to go. My first Jeep was a 95 YJ when I was 17. I had like 7" of lift on it with 33s. I thought I was King S*&t of Turd island. Even with 4.5" and 35 KM2s my Jeep is all over the road. I couldn't imagine having anymore lift on the already top heavy XJ.

The only things I'd be worried about are doing the axle swaps and getting the money for gears. Those're the things keeping me from 35s to be honest.

Finally installed a hitch! Also put on a Dynomax Super Turbo.

Had to take off the bumper to access the little weld strip so we could tap the old bolts. Big pain to be honest.




Be jealous of my nice saggy leaves.

Welp, good thing my dad got me AAA. Front passenger brake caliper locked up. Noticed a strange pulling to the right, and got home, and my wheel was smoking. Jeepless until tomorrow.
