Which Suspension Kit Out Of The 3?

Im planning out a build for an xj that I am looking at picking up. The jeep with be a daily driver/weekend wheeler which I am looking to run 33s. I will most likely trim the fenders and or run some kind of flares cause of the tire coverage laws. I have narrowed it down to 3 kits but I am not sure which one to go with so if you guys could help me choose that would be awesome and if you guys could recommend anything that I should add to them that they don't offer. I am some what new to xjs but I have read up some on them so if there is any other mods that you could recommend that would be much appreciated thanks. (The xj with be a 1996-1999)

I have the RE 3.5. So far, 2000 or so miles on it, 7-800 off road, and it is working great. It did sag about 1.5 inches up front but when the truck is loaded out, it evens out and works well.

If I could do it again I would piece it together. Bilstein shocks, rear shackle relocation, and then figure how high I want it and with what controll arms.

Agreed. I would piece it together or at least see if you could upgrade the track bar to a double-shear type for one of the kits you show. But I sure wouldn't do the middle one that is a 5.5" lift on short arms - that is going to ride terrible. If you have a 96+ don't forget to budget for an SYE - you'll likely need it at 4.5" of lift.

I agree with piecing together plan. It's cheaper to get lightly used stuff when people upgrade to bigger and buy what you need new when you have to. No offense to "Rusty's" I've got your 4.5 rear leafs on my 91. I bought them new 5 yrs ago and they've been great.

Piece it together from quality parts. Each of those three kits are about equally as ****ty as the other.

Thanks for all the replies and advice. So I guess my next questions would be then what companies would you go with is you piece it together of leafs, coils, shocks, control arms, track bar, shackles, sye/driveshaft, ect.......

I am running 3.5" RE coils, leafs, and Tracbar, with Teraflex adjustable upper and lower control arms with Bilstein 5100 shocks (10" travel ) it works extremely well on an offroad.

I am also running 33's

I would do a 3 inch lift and keep ur track bar for now to keep the price down. Cut fenders for clearance. Do you weld? Also no SYE at 3 inches.

That's horrible advice about keeping the stock trackbar.

Agreed. Anything over 2 in is going to need something to keep the axle centered.

Explain how this is horrible at 3 inches?? You can redril the hole and the axle WILL be centered. Would I like an ajustable? Yes but it's ridiculously expensive.
