I have some backup lights on my basket rack, going to run the wires through here...

Not my pic, found in another thread and added the arrow. The black plastic grommet is big enough to pass a bunch of wires through, and worked great for my trailer light tie in. I am also going to run the XM Radio antenna and the front rack lights through the other side as soon as those go in. I simply popped out the tail light, drilled the correct size hole, and once installed, sealed it with Urethane window sealant. You could use RTV, whatever... and it basically never gets wet there.

Just a thought...

gah i havent been on jf in forever! sorry for the delay! comcast....
got my lights on, lemme take some pics real quick and ill post.
wiring is very ugly at the moment, havent had a chance to touch it up,
but basically i just ran it through the liftgate and grounded it straight to the roof.
sometime in the next few days im gonna run the wire straight into the cab and seal it

MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT PICTURE QUALITY! I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING THAT HORRENDOUS SINCE I SAW KATHY BATES NAKED HI-DEF!!!

(just kidding)

I'm looking to do the exact same thing BUT on the rear of my XJ as back up lights. I already bought an extra luggage rack from the local JY for a cool $1.27... it gives me an idea of how they'll look...

Nice job!

My "stompin' grounds" that I like to use is Pull-A-Part in Rock Hill... It only cost $1.00 to get in and I usually find something to snag off of one of the XJ's there... I haven't been there since the CARS program so I don't know what they have... but hey, $1.00 for an afternoon of fun is well worth it to me...

My rear lights are just some lights that I picked up from pep boys... nothing special but they'll work. I think they are 50w lights... you know those rectangular ones... I haven't mounted them yet but that's probably next on my "to-do" list...

What kind of lights do you have on your Waggy?
