Well I haven't been on here for a while but I have done a little work to the jeep. I saw the roof was getting some rust spots on it so I sanded it down a bit put some rustoleum rubber underliner stuff and then truck bed liner on top turned out pretty well but I don't have any pictures of the process unfortunately. I'll try to find some here though

Just noticed I didn't post on here my roof rack that I got it will post pictures of that also.

But the best thing I got this weekend was a Dana 44 of an 86 xj for 300$ woo! I started cleaning it tonight and will hopefully get it painted up soon, some disc brakes and get it on the jeep.

Yep, as long as it's out of the xj it will bolt right up, from everything I've read and seen that's been the case anyway. I opened it up and the gears look good it's something I would definitely check though. And the bearings I am going to replace because they need to be taken off for the disk brake kit I got anyway. But since these axles are getting fairly old now I would suggest replacing them anyway.

I ordered the g2 disk brake conversion kit, it kinda sucks because it was expensive but I've heard good things about the kit and I wanted to get new brakes on it. I haven't gotten it on yet but it seems real nice and I got it on sale.

oh ok I didnt know if there is a "ZJ" style swap on a 44 or not... i'll have to look into it.. does that one have a LSD? I can grab one for $300 and its so tempting or imma grab a 29spline 8.25 for almost half the price.

I believe you can but the on the 44s you need to have like a spacer between the axle bearings because it's too short for whatever reason, I've heard that some people were able to get brakes off crown vics to work. Unfortunately my 44 isn't an lsd. I had the 8.25 on before but wanted to upgrade and I'm giving my friend my 8.25 with disc's because he's got the 35 rear. My 44 was only 300$ also great deal man
