Sooooo, we had a storm last night......

And a decent sided tree branch fell on my Jeep, didn't look to do any damage when I looked at it last night.

I went out 15 min after getting home and there is a branch on my jeeps hood, jumped in it and took a look for a broken windshield, it was fine. Was p*ssed off and impatient, and decided to move the Jeep from under the branch. still no visible damage. I went out this morning and took a second look, the limbs next to the Jeep were what fell on it, the big one on the hood, and little one on the roof

and found this:

I have a $500 deductible so it really doesn't matter that I moved the Jeep, because it's a fairly cheep and easy fix, but damnit! Oh well it gives me an excuse to do something like this now: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea..._rod_hooligans

I had that same piece broken on my jeep from a hail storm, plus lots of added character (dents).

nice and i like that idea..had a storm tonight while i was at work tonight. the sky behind the store was black and to the left it was green and i thought it was gonna be a bad storm so i backed my jeep up to the parking spots by the garden center and i got in trouble last time i parked up on a curb near the entrance to the store so i had to leave my hood sticking out. decided if it hailed and dented up the hood, id just be forced to get a cowl hood.. all we had was some heavy showers though

good to hear thats all the damage was.

Where did that even come from? I don't see the offending tree in the picture.

Of course it would hit the cherokee instead of the wrangler with the roll bar

Glad to hear your windshield made it

Lol, that wrangler has a brand new sailcloth top that that branch would have put a large hole in. But on the other hand, the cowl panel on Wranglers are easier to replace......

Dude that sucks but your lucky the damage wasnt worse. This was what happened to my wifes WJ last summer. Fortunetly we wound up not paying a deductable, the damage came to about 1500. Here is the PB album.

This was after a nasty storm that came through the area, we actually got away pretty clean. I'm pretty sure the damage through town was caused by a microburst.
