So who rolled the XJ on Fins 'N Things in Moab last Sunday?

It rolled while attempting a steep incline and the rear u-joint snapped.
Three guys were inside and a girl was with them.

Was it a members jeep?

You know the rules Pics or it didn't happen !

Hope they were alright and I have no clue how you can roll on fins did they panic and gas it while turning the wheel to spin the jeep causing a roll ?

Sounds like a noob screw up to me.

No injuries but the Jeep was totalled
.
Attempted the steep incline and was just about to crest the top when the rear u-joint snapped. Brakes wouldn't hold it and slid backwards into the tree which caused it to slide sideways and ended up as you see here. Had the joint not snapped, they would have made it.

They were wheeling alone so we helped them get it on its wheels, I showed them how to clear the intake and cylinders of oil and after that it fired right up. I ended up towing them out since it couldn't climb very well with just front wheel drive.
I as quite impressed with their attitudes, as soon as it was on its wheels, they all scrambled to completely clean the trail of any trace of the rollover (there was quite a bit of broken pieces and crap form inside the spilled out.

There was no way we could leave without helping, it was nearly 100 degrees out.

Glad you were there to help. Shame it's totaled. Time to chop the Xj and turn it into a buggy.

Any more pics? Doesn't seem like it would be totaled from a flop and slide if it could still drive and made it out.

No pictures of it on its wheels but the entire drivers side was pushed in quite a bit.
The upper corner of the A pillar was shoved about 5" in, the dash was shoved over a couple of inches and the entire B pillar was also pushed in a few inches.

I talked with the owner and his plan is to toss the doors, straighten it out as much as possible and run it as a wheeler only.

If it slid down the sandstone I can see a whole side worth paint totaling an Xj. That hill is pretty steep the pic does not do it justice.
