So, how rare is this thing?

I recently purchased My 7th XJ

Its a '92 2-Door Laredo, pwr wndos, opening vent windows in the front windows pwr locks, pwr mirrors, the mirrors also flex and I've not seen this on a 2-Dr before only 4-Drs, pwr ant, overhead console, chrome package, 242 Transfer case.

Its not perfect, but I got it for $1000.00 but its rust free other than a three finger sized hole in one rocker.

Only 140K on it. Its an auto, which is fine, because this one will be My DD.

Not rare at all and if it's got finger size rot through the rockers odds are you've got quite a bit more in the floor pans. Looks like it's in pretty good shape otherwise.

I find that hard to believe, I've only seen one 2-Door Laredo in the 3 years I've been into the XJs.

Nope, the floor pans are solid thankfully.

I actually trimmed mine out to resemble my previous Laredo.

Believe what you want, they're not rare at all. They're not as common as 4 doors but thousands were produced.

Ok, considering the kabillions produced then, I'm going to have to think that its a pretty small percentage, how about that?

And its the first older XJ I've seen with power mirrors. I had a 4 Door '92 Laredo it didnt have the pwr mirrors.

And I wonder how many are still on the road today?

Do you want the truth or do you just want us to tell you what you want to hear?

x2, see one at least once a week. Now if you had a 99 2-door with rear vent windows and a 4.0 5 speed I'd be offering to trade you for it.

Ok, well your areas must be very different than Mine, I am in central Ohio, drive into Indiana and W.Va on a regular basis and have only seen one other 2 door Laredo. Hell, I bet I havent seen more than 10 4 doors honestly.

So, apparently its not very rare, maybe you guys that have all of these could post some pics, and option lists, I'd love to compare them :-)

I"d love to find a set of rear glass with the vents!!

The wing windows are a must for the best appearance IMO.

I'd have to agree they are rare in certain areas. Here in the salt belt, its actually rare to see any pre-97 Cherokee, especially one in decent condition. There were lots of them before, but cash for clunkers killed a lot of them off.

I see a few 97+ every day still, but rarely see a 96 or older and even fewer 2 doors. I drove for over 11 hours combined this weekend going to, from, and around New Hampshire. Over my entire trip I probably saw about 25 Cherokees. Only 2 or 3 were 96 or older.
