Should I Sell My Cherokee
I bought my '01 Cherokee in December with the knowledge and understanding that this would be kind of a "project." Over the last six months I've learned a lot. I've acquired some air tools. Thing is not much has changed. I still haven't gotten to any mods e.g. lift, wheels/tires etc. and I am still plagued by a cel that just won't go away. If I did everything to this jeep that I want I could easily spend $10k or more. In reality my budget over the next couple of years is more like $5k though. The real whammy is that my wife and I are separating. I'll be taking a job in another town and living in an apartment. I know that even if I spent $10k or more there's a lot that can break on a 16 year old vehicle with 230,000 miles on it.
So I have a decision to make. 1) Keep the jeep and do what I can within my "divorced guy paying alimony" budget. 2) Keep the Jeep to fix up later and put my money towards a cheap daily driver or 3) Sell the Jeep and get a slightly less cheap daily driver (I'm thinking a sporty hatchback like ford focus or a '08 or '09 Volvo C30 ...... Don't look at me like that!)
