Which Shocks for 3.5 RE Lift?

Hi All,

Okay, so I think I've FINALLY decided on a lift kit (RE 3.5 Inch Super-Ride Short Arm Lift Kit)

http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...pn=R%2fERE6025

From my research it looks like it's the best bang for the buck - Feel free to chime in if you have a better kit in mind within the same price point. Or if you know where I can get this kit cheaper (JF Discount?).

Anyways - For this particular lift, since it doesn't come with shocks, what would be a good set of shocks (front and rear) to get? Again, this is for the 3.5 lift and I'll probably be upgrading my tires to 31" shortly. I'm not looking for top of the line. This is 90% my DD, and will be using it in the mountains a bit for camping, Jeep trails, etc. I won't be doing any rock climbing any time soon. Just looking for a good set of shocks with a nice ride, that will last a while.

Also, anything this kit is missing that I should get? I know I'll prob need a SYE, but going to figure that out after the rig is lifted since I don't want to blow all my $$ at once.

Thanks in advance!

-J

I put the 3.5 RE lift on my XJ in November.

I used:

Bilstein Shocks:

24-188197 (2)
33-066868 (2)

They are awesome.

I would recommend Bilstein as well. I have them both on the XJ and the BMW. Great set of shocks!
