Well, finally, over a month after the accident, I've got everything squared away with Safety Insurance. They deemed my truck a total loss and valued it at $1,573.70. Lame. And, since I was somehow found to be 10% at fault, they wrote out a check for only $1,416.33. Lame. Whatever, though. My boyfriend's going to be doing all the work for me at his shop for real cheap. We bought all of the parts brand new at Crown Automotive yesterday for a total of less than $400, and I'll be dropping the XJ off at the shop tomorrow afternoon so she can hopefully be done by the end of the weekend.

I'm excited.

what about your title though? won't the re-label the title salvage? I hope things work out for you.

They haven't mentioned anything about the title, but I assume that's how it works, yeah. We'll see.

If you are keeping the jeep the title status really doesn't matter that much.

I plan on selling mine in 8 or 10 years, when it starts to be old and unreliable. Then I'll upgrade to an 01 model,

That really sucks about your jeep!!! Glad to hear that its getting fixed! And I was reading the part about you crying and said to myself "man! This guy is a little baby" Haha now it all makes sense though!!! :]

My back tire isn't flat! It's "aired down" for rock crawling!
