I think the jeep looks great, and honestly the damage looks minimal, probably just cosmetic from what I can see. Shouldnt be too bad to fix it.

I can relate to your feelings about your XJ. After all the hard work I put into mine it was totaled about 10 feet away from me one day. I was just glad my friend who said she would sit inside decided to come with me. Looks like you had a sweet ride. I like those tail lights and clear side markers. Just buy it back from the insurance and throw a 97+ front clip on there. It'll look even sweeter Unfortunately, at the time mine was totaled my parents wouldnt let me buy it back..and it took me a year of working really hard before I was able to buy my current XJ.

Thanks, guys. I'm definitely more determined now to get this thing as beautiful as it was before. I got all kinds of stuff for it for Christmas, too - American Racing wheels for my 31"s and soon to come lift, ram air hood scoop, and my clear bumper/corner lenses to replace the smashed ones - so I don't plan on giving in too easily. I really do love the thing.

Too bad you don't live closer, we could get together for some jeep fixing. You know, a single trouble light hanging from the rafters, tool box scattered about, some soft classical music, steaks on the grill, my jeep sharing the garage with your jeep... Oh wait, uh, what am I talking about? I mean, heck yeah it's repairable.

Duct tape! Maybe put the broken piece back in or something a bit smaller, some super glue, then a few layers of duct tape!

You'll be fine, haha!

Lol. Thanks. I try to keep them nice, even while constantly working on this beast.

Getting close to 122,000 now.

Dont do that. Retain the rugged, classic cherokee look. Everything about a
1st gen XJ front ends simply screams JEEP.

That looks like an easy fix. Mine got clipped like that by a minivan, all it took was a new bumper, a new tow hook bracket and a a new headerpanel and 1 headlight...... 75 dollar junkyard trip and it was better than new 4 hours later. Yours doesnt look that bad to fix.
