Does anyone know what the letter designator stand for in the nomenclature?
78DT, 78DTS, 78X. . . ?
It may indicate the type of battery ... I got it at my local auto parts store.

Actually.... I didn't realize that the ones at Tractor Supply are NOT AGM. They do not carry the Exide Edge (AGM) batteries. Just the Lead Acid Maintenance Free batteries. Not sure what I'm doing now.

The Exide 78DTS Nascar Select DOES say Lead Acid/AGM in the specs though. I guess I'll see when I get there.

I grabbed my optima from Auto Zone, and picked up an $85 exide from tractor supply. Website has a $20 rebate too. I also picked up an AGM battery charger. I have the optima hooked up. If it charges I'll take the Exide back. If it didn't, I still might take it back and pick up a duralst platinum. **** it. . . I get paid Thursday.

Yeah, new battery charger didn't like the optima either. Guess it really is toast. Highest it got was. . .

And then it faulted out. . .
