Actually, as DaveXJ4x4 pointed out, the correct official designation is the TJ-Unlimited. There is no such thing as an "LJ", as far as Jeep is concerned.

Last week on the Rubicon Trail, I got more firewood than that in my MJ. But then again, I only have room for one passenger.

umm the back of our XJ's have leaf springs Coils, leafs, it doesn't matter leafs can be made to work pretty well.....Frame's are better then unibody's if your going to really wheel.

one word... SeXJ. but I can haul more stuff in the back, and have more seating for chicks than a wrangler. Plus you see lifted wranglers EVERYWHERE. Lifted cherokees just look so bad***. I mean why do you think aircruiser gets pulled over all the time... his rig is bad*** and the cops know it.

Okay a Jeep is a Jeep no matter what model it is!!! All i have owned is xj's and loved everyone of em... but only being 19 i can't afford much. so i chose one of the vehicles that is lesser on cost.
I like jeeps all the same... other then the compass haha.

ahhh now I see why hes so upset, all those track bars, front axle disconnect, 2.5L and 4-corner leafs springs makes him all defensive haha

Yeah, only the rear! It's strange, because the XJ came around in 83, and the YJ? it took after the old CJ, leafs all around. How antiquated.

On a steep uphill with uneven terrain I'll take the leafs and extended wheelbase over coils and short wheelbase any day; far more stable.

That said, I've owned both and very much prefer my XJ. The only perk of Wranglers to me is the removeable doors and top, but even XJ's can have both converted if so desired. Also, a unibody can be easily reinforced with stiffeners and bracing plates.

It all comes down to what you need a Jeep for though; there's no right or wrong model for anyone. Well, except the Compass.

If I had a TJ-Unlimited, I'd go out, load the sucker up, then post it on the forum just to get everybody to quit arguing about this.

As far as the cargo space goes, I think the FC-170 DRW beats all.
But... the MJ does have more cargo space than most Jeeps that you normally see on the streets.

So if anybody wants to brag about how much more cargo space they have than another Jeep, go buy an FC-170 DRW. Then, you can go off bragging.
