I'm not so sure about the portable rocket (also known as a gas grill) strapped to the back seat.... one good smack to the rear end and that will be one big fireball.

Propane will only ignite when exposed to a flame. To get a tank to blow, you'd have to expose it to extreme heat

I have had 2 xj's and now my wrangler. As far as capability it depends on the mods.....and sometimes a longer wheel base is better and vise versa. I liked how comfortable the xj's were, never got smacked with branches while off-roading.
But I like my wrangler too. 5 speed 6 banger is pretty fun, the xj's were auto but easier on some parts of the trails ,no clutch to burn It's all preference, I wil someday have both.

Although I have been smacked with branches and mud while off-roading the XJ...It's an all natural facial.
