Finally made some headway with the slider.




Real quick pictures. Just need to fab up the mounts and the "wings" and then paint



This was hanging out in the auto yard at my school as well. Started out a Comanche. Now has triangulated 3 link front and 4 link rear on air springs. On 60s if the kid knew his dads beast as well as he thought.

I am just a silly TJ owner, so i was curious what the upcountry upgrade gained you over the other XJs?

2000 TJ with a lot of plans, going no where on a college budget

Up country XJ's came with:
1 inch taller suspension
Steering/ gas tank/ transfer case skid
Premium transmission cooling
Limited slip rear
And tow hooks

Slightly taller(appx 1 inch when new). Factory front, mid and gas tank steel skid guards. Oil cooler. Tow hooks. Gas shocks.

I've been thinking about putting an Aussie in my d30 but am skeptical because of how much it snows here in Central Oregon. Chances are I'm only going to survive one more winter here, but during that winter I'll be driving to the local ski hill and to my house which is on the top of a pretty big hill, so 4wd will most likely become a necessity.

Do you guys think I should?

I'm also planning on getting new clutches to rebuild my LSD.
