Protekto-Trim Questions...

I know a few of you use the protekto trim on your trimmed fenders. I hate to ask for a pic but, how are you guy putting on as far as, just on the fronts? front and rear? and how far down do you guys go?

Front and rear.....and all my trim is covered by protekto. After the rear cut and fold I was a little worried about how the trim was gonna go on, but honestly it fits very well and is super easy to install.

I've not decided on a finish for my trim job as I, too, am worried about how the rear will fit--we left a significant "bump" when we made the folds. I would not mind seeing a close-up pic, either. BTW, Tdogg, where did you buy the trim--DPG?

From what I've read, the Proteckto trim does not wrap around the edge--true/false?

As an alternative, I've considered removing the rust that has formed, hitting it with some POR-15, then Herculining the edges (up to, perhaps, 1/2" or so).

The ProtektoTrim that Dirk sells is the flat style, not wrap-around.

"install" photos:

I only did my front fenders. My rear fenders still had a lip on them that I'd already painted black so I didn't feel the need to put the trim on them as well.

I used the same stuff from DPG front and rear. I didnt cut and fold the rear, just cut below the spot welds which left enough metal to apply Protekto below the stamp flare.
