That's sweet then. I want to do the liner on the bottom part of the jeep once I take that trim off, and do the bumpers. I'll have to try this stuff.

It's 23 years old. You are free to take it for a $6000 candy paint job if you want. Or a $300 mayco paint job.

But don't kid yourself, rattle can or candy coated paint you are not effecting the value of your jeep by any significant amount. You'd hardly get the cost of rattle canning it out of it.

99 XJ, black, 4x4, NP231, 8.25 rear. Fully locked.
5.5" long arm lift, 35x12.5x15 Kumo KL71MT

Difference between a 300 maaco job and a spray can job is the fact that even though the maaco job won't be perfect it will look a lot better than spray bombing. I spray bombed my old ZJ and I regretted it later, and it didn't even look bad.

I'm not trying to kid myself, value has nothing to do with it I don't intend to ever sell it unless someone would throw a ridiculous number at me. But spray bombing it is a high school thing imho. And if I go threw the work of prepping it it sure wont be for rattle can. I understand why people do it I just can't bring myself to.

Looks better than a maaco paint job.. So does mine if you're half decent and no what your doing no one would even tell... It's all about prep work, if you can't bring yourself to it then you know it won't turn out. Buy a spray gun if you're worried about it. And highschool thing? Good lord people these days... Seems everyone's got a pavement pounder and wants there jeep to look perfect..

No its not a pavement pounder but some people like there jeep to look some what presentable, scratches I'm not worried about its the fading that bothers me. Ive resprayed my hood with rattle can and its been about 2 months and its starting to fade.
