PlastiDip rims?

So, I'm fairly certain that I'm going to spray my stock cherokee rims with a few coats of plastidip in the next week or so.
Does anyone have a reason that i shouldnt use that product?
Does anyone have any suggestions for tips/tricks when using it?
How should I deal with the minor amount of rust near the lip on my rims?...I was thinking of hitting it with a wire brush then sanding it smooth along with any other rough spots on the rims...

I don't know whether the product will spread well and evenly - and that could lead to balancing issues, but I'm thinking bad idea.

Spraying would need a pretty hefty tip too as it is fairly thick.

Rust - wire brush, sand smooth, shoot with rustoleum to cover, then do whatever.

I Youtubed it - I wouldn't want
to happen with a simple scuff.

I did it to my wheels and can not be happier it turned out great, its not real glossy so if thats what you want youll have to use paint. I did a little prep, lightly scuffed them then cleaned, it holds up very well, i tried to scratch it to see if it comes off and it just left a light mark no peeling. Its my kind of paint to, cause if your not great with a can and you spray it to heavy in some spots, it evens out.

the company makes it in a rattle can...my friend did his camaro with it and i liked the result. I'm interested in the matte look...

would a little paint really make a difference with the balance?
