well as of last nov, i lost my lisence for a year and sold my beloved Perrywinkle people eater (build is in my sig). as of tomorrow i officially 265 days to go until i get my lisence back and able to get another jeep. so i finished my build sheet and figured its not a bad idea to plan things out and maybe start shopping for parts now while i wait lol. the plans are to get the rig back to optimum running condition, then up to where i was except with better parts and build it right to the final height and tire size where as my old one, i was learning and building bigger. so here are the plans for the next one. possibly another 96 or a 99 prefferably white.
DRIVETRAIN/MAINTENANCE: Oil change, trans service, front and rear diff fluid change, plugs wires and cap, bore out throttle body and clean sensors. 3 core rad, new thermostat and hoses, trans cooler with gauge. homebrew intake, APN header, magnaflow straight cat, Flowmaster super 44 and 2.5" pipes. new u-joints for driveshafts and axles. upgrading axle shafts (still doing research on the best bang for the buck wether alloy or chromolly). Timken hub units. balljoints. thinking of regearing as well, debating 4:10 or 4:56...leaning towards the 4:56 lol. maybe lockers as well while im at it, possibly aussie or spartan.
ARMOR: Install my jcr frame tie in brackets for possibly the JCR prerunner winch front bumper. C4x4 rear bumper with the swingout tire carrier. find gastank skid possibly zj tank skid, ballistic weld on LCA mount skids, riddler front and rear diff covers, JCR stage 2 rock rails, JCR rear quarter armor with the tailight boxes.
SUSPENSION: Rough Country longarm 4.5"-5". shocks front and rear, possibly rough country 2.0 or bilsteins. extended ss brakelines. JKS discos. IRO adj tracbar and hd mount. v8 zj tierod.
WHEELS/TIRES: steel rock krawlers possibly streetlocks 15x8 4.5" backspacing. 33x12.5x15 Bfg km2.
ACCESORIES: Surco rack 45X50, hi-lift jack, roof lights, h4 headlight conversion with harness, cb radio and firestick antenna, new head unit and such, custom storage box in the back with drawers. winch with synthetic line. bushwacker flat flares (if i decide not to run flareless)
so basically going off where i was on my last jeep but better like i said. any input on better choices of parts or better deals for shocks, axle shafts, gears are welcome. im still in the planning stages. when i get it, it will most likely be taken car of the maintenance and drivetrain first and accessories, then armor, then the lift and tires. i didnt miss driving the first 100 days, but now that ive been lurking on here again, ive been depressed and missing my rig...A LOT. and since i cant do anything till nov, i figured its best to plan and shop now.
