What a steal! My Dad lives in Calgary and he said theyre all running around 4-6k still.

Yeah they are still fetching good prices. Calgary is weird that way. The recession has hit everywhere but of all the places on this continent Calgary isn't doing all that bad (some oil and gas lay-offs, otherwise people are still raking in fat salaries) which totally skews things here (I find).

Anyway, it had bad front u-joints (which I replaced) which had caused some pretty bad death wobble.. which is why the guy sold it for cheap (he thought it was ready for the junk yard).

I've always wanted a Cherokee badly but they've always been hard to find (5spd, no rust) for a reasonable price. I had a first-gen Suzuki Grand-Vitara (lifted) and an Audi A4 recently and neither of them was really "my style"... I can tell already that the Cherokee is going to be a long term affair.
