hmmm...well see if it lasts....

I used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Paint. So far so good.

I actually think the Black carpet looks good, I would think it wouldn't last though. You'll have to bump this thread in a few months and let us know how it held up. The other draw back I can see is getting high on fumes the first few times you drive

I fear that if the paint doesn't hold up you have just turned this XJ into another beater.

you could always pull the interiour from a JY 97 up XJ to swap in if that fails.

looks terrible to me, but to each dey own.

Carpet Dye Type & Method

What kind of carpet dye did you use? How is this done? I figure if my paint wears off I could try the dye. I think the Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric paint will work pretty well on the vinyl surfaces but Im not so sure about the carpet and seats...
