Only if they replaced the head with a cast that didn't have the defect.

Doesn't the 2000 also have a low pinion dana30? Might be something to consider.

It does, but the HP is also a direct swap.

Yes, but you'll have to find one with the same gears and what not and buy it and the labor to put it in. And if you can't put it in yourself.
