off set of 98 Cherokee

So I found some sweet-butt tires/ do I know what my offset is and can you put anything different on your Jeep? I looked up: looks like 5x4.5: is this correct?

Craigs list ad:Bolt pattern is 5x5.5 very clean rims, already balanced ready to go......

they are hot black rims....I am needing to get an alignment and I know two of the four tires need replacing due to uneven wear...and pretty bald in those spots.
