They basically gave him the run around when he tried to return it still brand new and wanted to charge him a fee even though they listed it wrong. I had to call and tell them I would contact the better business bureau and finally they let him return it. Mine has a loud whistle and I'm currently trying to sell it. Go with Jeff Leigh's 63MM throttle body, you won't be disappointed. Great product, price, and service. I noticed better throttle response and gained a solid 1 mpg. I'd upgrade your intake while you are at it to get the full effect.

Yeah, i'll probably get the long range ones, it would be nice to see that far down the road.

That Jeff Leigh guys products look pretty cool also, so does he machine the stock 4.0 TB and then sell it to me for $90 and buy my old TB for $70, and then its a continuous cycle? If so, thats pretty cool, and I'd rather be supporting that guy and his small business than a larger company anyhow.

And for kicks I google mapped directions from Storrs to where I am and its less far than I expected, only about 70 mi or so, I am having so much trouble finding a decent, legal place to wheel.

How you likin your Dynomax super turbo? i got one too and after you break it in it starts to have this nice quiet grumble, if you cut off the curved bit on the end pipe that angles down and put a resonating tip on it has even more grumble and sounds great

Jeff cleans and bores out the throttle body he has on hand, then ships it out to you. Once you install it you send him your old one and he gives you the $70 back. This leaves no downtime. I've asked him lots of questions and he is a great guy to deal with. Even sent instructions and everything with his throttle body. I also live in Coventry, CT and not Storrs. So I'm probably a few miles closer. Theres no legal wheeling in CT which sucks, but I'd be willing to drive to MA to find some.

Yeah I like the super turbo alot, its just enough noise for me where its not too loud and it doesnt sound like a fart can ricer. Mine has only been on for about a week, so im still in the break-in period, but all good so far, my mpgs are starting to rise very slowly.

Yeah he sounds like a good guy, with good products, ill definitely be going with him if I decide to replace mine. All the good legal wheeling spots are in western MA, theres like 3 state parks that all allow it within 20 mi of each other, too bad there like 110 mi away from me..

Yeah, the 3 I know of are Beartown, Tolland and October Mtn State forests, also maybe pittsfield? But that one is too far for me, at least thats whats listed for OHV on the MA parks website.

Also I heard Walmart is selling Hella 500s/500ffs for 10 bucks, I checked the two closest stores nearest to me, but I didn't find any. You should definitly check your walmarts, and if you find multiple pairs, ill make it worth for you, some of the guys on here have been buying like 4-5 sets!

dang the walmarts near me usually only have one box of Hellas on the shelf. Last I checked the boxes were half opened already. Wonder why they are selling them for 10 bucks?

Yeah definitly check it out, people all over the U.S. have been getting them for $10, I googled it and saw it on subaru and titan forums, I guess there on clearance, apparently there listed at like 60 something, but if you go to the price checker or cashier they ring it up for $10, I might call a couple other stores tomorrow, that is too good of a deal to pass up

Pretty sure someone was attempting to steal/cut off my catalytic converter today.

At work today I was cruising the area in a golf cart, just wasting time, and In the staff parking lot I see a guy laying under the company's old pick-up (which we use for hauling trash to the dumpster), holding some sort of tool in the air above his head. At the time I thought nothing of it and kept going. About 15 minutes later I mentioned to my boss that I saw a guy fixing the old grey pickup in the parking lot. He says he knows nothing about anybody fixing anything so we go to take a look.

(said truck)

Sure enough, exhaust is cut, cat gone. So I walk over to the jeep and i see this:

Nothing was taken, but I'm still amazed at the nerve of this guy to just pull out a reciprocating saw and in broad daylight cut parts off a car. Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

What's with people stealing catalytic converters all of a sudden? Your XJ looks great though.

Went over to a local state park for some Mountain Biking:

Detours Bumper Brow should be here in the next couple of days, I'm gonna order the Daylighters when I get it. Still wished I could have gotten some 500s for 10 bucks.
