No offense to me...I didn't write anything about the 4.88 gears in the Dana 30. All I remember reading was something about making the ring gear (don't quote me) smaller and thus weakening it.

I don't give a **** what gears he runs...just tossing out there what I read when researching lower gears in these axles. A waggy 44 would be prime for guaranteed strength.

Also, if I ran anything at all on my Jeeps that someone else is my opinion still wouldn't stand for ****...mud and rocks don't compare.

Been there done that, the IRO long arms have essentially 1 10mm bolt for the upper link mount, not safe. And if you dont brake the bolt, youll brake the caster adjuster like i did. Heres a pic.

I like everything that IRO makes, except the long arms.... track bars, coil springs, etc are all good.
Wow this is the first time I have seen anything like this with the IRO setup. I would like to know how you bent that.

Lol seriously?

You literally said in you last post that 4.88s in a dana 30 isnt the strongest way to go. Wtf are you talking about?

Actually the ring gear with a 4.88 gearset is bigger (thicker) than any other gearset offered for a dana 30.

The pinion gear is the smaller one, but it is not substantially smaller than that of a 4.56 gearset. The strength difference is miniscule.

Waggy 44s, chromo shafts, 4.88s, spools, mid arm 3 link, 35" kevlars

Thrashing in the snow with a aussie locker and a heavy foot.

Wheeling like this doesnt help either.

I said don't quote me...I had someone tell me one time that 4.56 was not a good idea in the Dana 30 because of weakness...this is just people saying things and in the world of the internet there is TONS of misinformation and opinions. I brought something up...you've clarified it.

Interesting, I have yet to damage mine but I have been told I drive conservatively but that is coming from someone else who drives like this

Not everybodies info is correct, he was just trying to give usefull info which could right/wrong. Doesnt mean you have to be a d1ck about things.

So imo who gives a **** what you think about what he read

Why give info that you think might be wrong. IMO only give info when you know it first hand. Not some bull**** that you read, or you think you read.

If you dont have anything informative, and correct to say then be quite

Please dont ***** at me. Anyways, this has nothing to do with you.
