New Project?

Hey guys, I have a 1979 CJ5 that I restored I put a lot of time, $, sweet, and blood into this jeep. It's a nice weekend ride, but now I'm looking for a mud toy, and would like to do it with a Cherokee, any suggestions on year make and model that I should look for?

Ok didn't get much of a reply but this is what I'm looking to do, any body out there let me know if you've seen this before or what you think. I'm looking to get a XJ and remove the roof, install roll bar, of course lift, as well as other additions. I currently have a CJ5 no back seat so only fits 2, a wrangler unlimited which will be my sons when he starts driving, soon. So i want another jeep that will fit more than 2. i dont care for the new 4 doors, cost way too much. I live in South Louisiana so I go topless almost all the time which I like so just looking to do this to a XJ, what do you think?

How about this. For a pre'97, go for a '93-'96.

Any reason you went with a 2 door instead of a 4 door?

Actually, this ones mine. I have had both 4 & 2dr models. A 4dr is nice for passengers. A 2dr is nice for the driver. The body is the same length for both.
