if i were you man i would throw a 6.5 inch with some nobby 35s make sure you get the cv driveshaft and slip yoke eliminater. i dunno roof racks look sick too put a highlift jack somewhere if ya get stuck and maybe some off road light. theres so much you can do you just have to shop around

Get some pics.

What size are the tires your have now?

I'd suggest a 2" spacer lift with coil spacer and AAL. Preferably shocks but its cool without them. Also, some good 30" ATs will look good and not hurt the MPG much. And I know thats a big factor making minimum wage at 17. Trust me.

so i got my plan here. My b-day is in 14 days and im gonna get the sound system cause i need that. Then in like november im gonna get like a 2" bb or spacers or something to give me a lil extra and with the extra lift im gonna get 30" at's maybe bfg's or something like that at the same time as the lift.

just keep in mind (if you go the lift route) you may need more parts other than just the lift kit, I needed axle shims, an adjustable track-bar, and new shocks for my old 2" BB...

and...Congrats on the XJ!

you'd be surprised the amount of flex you can obtain from even a BB and discos...
