New JCR Bummper - need opinions

I got my new JCR bumper and love it. I cannot wait to get it mounted. I took it to Line-X and they gave me a quote of $200. Ouch! Now I am leaning toward Monstaliner. I'm also thinking about getting JCR's new XJ Cherokee Ultimate Sliders - Deluxe to help my wife and daughter step up into the Jeep. I will probably use Monstaliner on these too.

I need some opinions from you guys...

1) I want to install driving lights on the new bumper. Do you think round lights look better or the rectangle lights?

Note: The below Jeep picture belongs to a mod here. I can't seem to find the thread where I saw it. I love this Jeep. It has the look I'm after.

2) This bumper has light mount holes on the top of the hoop and the top of the bumper. Where would you mount the lights? I'm thinking on the hoop.

3) The paint on my Jeep is in very good shape. The picture below does not do it justice. Do you think it will look good if sliders are painted black? Do you think I should put Monstaliner on the rockers?

This was from a guy on JF, craigbru
If that bumper is raw metal you need to prime it first.
Let me know if you need recommendations

Threw in a subwoofer box he did also

Just my .02:

I'm not a fan of the bed-liner looks. Having black bumpers and sliders will not look odd on a Jeep, I've seen tons in pics and never though it was an odd combination, even on red and white ones. As for lights, I'm OCD and don't like circular fog lights with square head lights (mine have circular fogs from the previous owner and they are driving me cray). I'm looking to get the JCR bumper too, just not the pre-runner. My buddy rattle canned his and it looks great. Good luck and post pics once you paint and mount it!

Bedliner on exteriors or components is different. You either like it or you don't.
How about Bloodbath!

Square lights look better on Cherokees

I agree about the square lights. I've always liked them better. But I like the JCR photo too.

I'm still not 100% about what to paint the bumper with. I like the look of flat black, but rattle can paint is so cheap and easy to mess up. Sure I can re-spray it, but I don't want to have to do it every few months.

Use the monster liner it looks ba. Go with round bumper lights.

I recommend looking at Rustoleum Textured black or any of their hammertone colors. Both are very durable and nice looking options out of the rattle can.

Never been a big fan of DIY bedliners, as most don't have UV protection and get very chalky looking from sun exposure. Herculiner is the worst!

Thanks, brimy. I do know that Monstaliner is UV permanent. I will look at those you recommended. I may buy a few and test on some scrap.

Monstaliner is nothing like Herculiner in fact it was first developed to specifically address the UV problems inherent to Herc

ML is made from all automotive grade components and has UV stabilizers built in so it does not fade or lose color

Does not fade or lose color "as quickly"......

Good luck finding a coating/finish that is 100% UV resistant. UV radiation is pretty harsh... So pick one that is as resistant as possible.

How well does Monsterliner stay clean? I've seen Line-x, dubicolor and other DIY bedliners not come clean well.

I used Rustoleum "truck bed coating" in a rattle can on my sliders and quarter panel armour. It has a fine texture and touch ups are a breeze. I will use it on my bumpers when I get them. Its like six or seven bucks a can. When you use your bumper and the liner gets scraped off, what are your options for reapir??

I used a company on the web that sent me an aerosol can with my paint matched in it, used a clear from the local auto store, and wet sanded and buffed. Came out perfect match. Yes, I did 3 coats of etching primer first
