Need Advice on Purchase

My buddy has an 87 cherokee. 4.0 I6 clean interior pretty much all original. Its got 247xxx miles and he wants a grand for it. I know I'm going to have to put work into it but its gunna be a dd while i work on my wj. Any thoughts on whether its worth the pick up? will i have a lot of problems down the road? thanks

Hard to say without seeing the vehicle in person, knowing its history, or what its current problems are. In my area though, a running & driving 4x4 of any kind, will fetch $1000 all day long, no matter what else is wrong with it. I'd say, if the engine is sound, and uniframe isn't about to come apart from rust issues, then it would be worth it. Some pictures and more detailed description would help though.

Just for the rust free body, I'd buy that $1000.

It's an 87 so see if it has floors. If the floors are gone but the frame is good, I wouldn't be too afraid

I'd say $1000 is fair for that if it drives. Throw a bumper on it and give it a rattle can paint job but DO NOT get rid of those seats. That interior is awesome.
