My xj build thread

Hi guys first time posting on the cherokee section but not on JF. I sold my TJ because I needed some extra space and bought a 98 2 door xj....Well I started modding my xj and currently adding some tow hooks to the front i'm also adding some brackets for support and drilling out the stock bolts to 1/2". Im also adding fog lights to the bottom and some to the bumper.

33" man on a 2" lift i like it. i assuming your going to take flares off and trim? and extended bumpstops. i am lifted 2-3" on trimmed fenders and 31x10.50 and extended bumpstops with swaybar quick disconnects and can stuff the tire all the way up in the wheel wheel close on rubbing.

Its closer to a 4.5" lift car had a Rancho 2" lift I added the bumpstops and the bastard pack adding another 2" of lift. But yes I would be removing the flares and possibly trim depending where it rubs. I completly removed the rear sway bar and will be making some quick disconnects for the front.

Thanks, next I need to do some maintainance work on it. Im replacing the rear main seal and the pressure power steering hose and changing the spark plugs.

As in mods ill be finishing my cubby hole sub, installing a cb radio, and I want to build a full 7ft rack for it. Thats pretty much it for mods for this year. Beginning of next year Ill be locking both the rear and front diff with aussie lockers and getting a rear bumber tire carrier combo thats pretty much my plans for the next couple of months.

Added a YJ tire carrier to my XJ and had someone extend it to my length of bumper.
