My second 500$ Jeep.
Well i got me another jeep for 500$ and i'm pretty happy with it, just wanted to share it with ya'll.
No lift, YET. But 33" tires and the newer jeep rims. Willin to sell the rims if anyone wants them. Has the 4.0 and got a title. I welded the front ring and pinion today, welded the vaccum acctuator too, so now its locked in the front. Taking it to the gulches next sunday after i lift it. ![]()

the cheapest. ha. I have some stock springs off the grand cherokee that i've heard gives a lift. going to put them in and put 2 inch spacers in the front. They blocks in the rear. Dont have alot of money to put in it. Have another jeep that needs to be painted.

I would suggest a bastard pack in the rear instead of the blocks. The blocks don't do well with the flimsy factory leafsprings, and the bastard packs will flex a lot better. Cost would be cheap also. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Suspension_Steering_Axles_and_Brakes/Budget_Lift.htm Here's a write-up using dakota packs, you can use s-10 packs also, and use different combos for different amounts of lift.

I have had a couple of $500 or sub $500 Jeeps, and have had a lot of fun with them.
When you start that cheap, EVERY significant mod costs more than the vehicle (a bad thing) BUT you saved so much on the front end that you can afford to mod it (a good thing). Best of luck. |

Or when the body gets trashed from rolling it, or getting hit... it's not a big deal!
Thats why I went cheap... the Mechanical stuff can always be transfered to a different Jeep.
