My Rig

Been working on this XJ for about a year now and this is where its at. It is my DD/wheeling rig/exploring rig and I spend alot of time just exploring more than anything. I wanted something very capable and well rounded, and didn't see a need for an exo and d60's.

Finishing the HP3o in the garage with PSC steering setup, currie steering linkage, alloy shafts, 4.10 gears and a locker. Throwing 4.10's, shafts and a locker in the rear 8.25 for now. Those will be in soon, like within a couple months.

Enjoy!

2000 XJ: HP30, 8.25 w/ 4.56 gears, Lockrite and Detroit, rear disc swap, WJ knuckles/draglink/tierod/brakes, AA SYE, 35" MTr's w/ Kevlar, Homebrew hand throttle, RE 7.5" Short Arm Lift, Durango box, fitchVA fuse box & switch box w/ OEM green Contura switches, Limited tan leather seats & console, KC HiLites on roof rack, ZJ ARB bumper w/ M8000 winch, Cragar Soft 8 wheels, TJ flares, full stereo upgrade, on & on & on

That's a sweet rig!

Hopefully similar to what mine will look like by the end of the summer (except different color, and I'll be on 33's)

Do you happen to have any more pics of your CB radio and how you mounted it? I have a similar radio (Cobra 25), that I haven't tried to mount yet (it's too ****ing cold to do anything here up in Canada right now).

Basically wondering if you just put a strip of metal between the 2 sun-visor clips, or if it was more involved than that... Thanks...

I dont have more than 1 pics, but I used a piece of steel shaped like a U and used the visor screws to hold it up. I attached the bracket for the cb to that and cut two slots in the headliner to the bracket would not be exposed. With the U bracket I made one side shorter than the other so it faces towards the driver. Below is the only pic I have, but hopefully the description will do justice.

7.5" on short arms with the drop brackets isn't too bad, rides ok for me.

I'm sure you can get them from your local cb shop/truckstop, but if I'm not mistaken, the one in the pic comes with the Cobra radio.

Cool, thanks, I'm pretty sure I know what you mean. When the weather gets a little warmer here, I'm gonna give this a go... Still not sure where I'm gonna mount my antenna though...
